Job Tracker Bridge helps a user extract job-posting details from the active tab, analyze fit, review the fields, and save the reviewed application data to the user's configured Notion or Google Sheets destination.

Single purpose

The extension's single purpose is to capture job application data from the active tab on user request, help the user review and analyze fit, and save the reviewed record to the user's selected job tracker destination.

Data the extension reads

• Active tab content: visible text, page title, current URL, and job-posting metadata are read only after the user clicks Analyze.
• User-entered application fields: company, role, URL, location, work setup, employment type, salary, uploaded resume or cover-letter names/files, summaries, rough fit estimate, reasons, red flags, notes, and any user-created custom fields.
• Optional resume and cover-letter files: selected files are kept only for the current side-panel session unless the user sends them to Notion.
• Optional competence reference: if the user uploads a .md, .txt, or .rtf file, the extension stores the extracted text to compare future job postings against it.
• Destination, export mapping, and API settings: Notion page URL, Notion data source ID, Google Sheet link, selected destination, export field names/enabled states/custom field definitions, Notion integration token, Google Apps Script Web App URL, AI provider/model, and AI API key.

The extension does not read every page automatically and does not collect general browsing history.

Data sent to third parties

The extension does not automatically send data. It sends data only after a user action:

• Anthropic Claude or OpenAI: if the user has saved an AI API key, uploaded a competence reference, and clicks Analyze, the job posting text, URL/title context, local extraction hints, and saved competence reference text are sent to the selected AI provider to generate a rough fit estimate and summaries.
• Notion: if the user clicks Save application with Notion selected, the enabled reviewed form fields, configured Notion property names, and any enabled attached resume or cover-letter files are sent to the Notion API using the user's Notion integration token.
• Google Sheets: if the user clicks Save application with Google Sheets selected, the enabled reviewed row fields and configured column names are sent to the user's configured Apps Script Web App URL so it can append a row to the sheet.

Data stored in the browser

• Chrome extension sync storage: non-secret destination settings, export field mapping settings, and the onboarding choice.
• Chrome extension local storage: Notion token, Google Apps Script URL, Claude/OpenAI API keys, saved competence reference text, and local history if the user saves locally.
